Hi, I am Joseph Saul

I started my artistic journey in March 2019. At the time I was just a guy with a camera taking photos of places I visited during my personal and business travels. You know, panoramas, landscapes, animals, skies, rivers, mountains, and maybe a person here and there. I have always been an admirer of old and classical paintings, inspiring photography, music, theater, and just about anything art. Always an spectator but never a participant, until March 2019.

A few weeks earlier I was browsing images in a landscape photography group when I deviated from my viewing routine and took a peek at the portraiture section. There, I came across some jaw-dropping images that confused me. I was convinced that the paintings I was seeing were mistakenly placed in the portrait photography section. They were mesmerizing and stunningly beautiful. I was perplexed and hooked by their beauty. Although my eyes thought I was looking at paintings, my logic reassured me that they were all photographs, and so did the website administrators. I made the decision to write to one of the authors of those images and asked him a simple question, "How do I learn to take a photo like that?" The answer was simple, "Come to one of my workshops."

Two days later in March 2019, I drove from Tampa, FL to Helen, GA and I plunged myself into the world of Fine Art Portraiture and never looked back. Today here you are, viewing some of my painterly works of artistic expressions. My studies in Fine Art Photography and my practical development have been fast and furious to say the least. I have enjoyed transitioning from an spectator to a creator of art.
